Minnesota State Fair or “A Little Diversion”
by Beth | More Than Oregano
While Practical Hubby and I contemplated what to do with “ALL THE SOD”, we decided a little diversion was necessary. So we grabbed the kids, filled our pockets with cash (plus food coupons!) and headed to The Great Minnesota Get-Together. All the food, fun and outdoor entertainment anyone could ask for.
We headed out early and got to the fairgrounds hungry. Which is the ideal way to begin any day at the Minnesota Fair. Here are just a few of the goodies we enjoyed.
My only regret is that I didn’t get a photo of the delicious gyros we got from Holy Land. I was too hungry, and they looked to good to stop and photo. They were loaded with seasoned lamb, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce. They looked so good that a passerby said, “I’ll give you $80 for that gyros!” Truth. If you use a coupon from the Fair Blue Ribbon Bargain Book, the gyros will only set you back $6! But don’t take my word for it. Go get one of your own. It’s worth the trip.
